2002 AQHA Palomino Mare. This mare was just bought for one of our clients. She was used as a broodmare for a couple years before having a Barrel Pattern put on her. Tanya Konopinski & Dos
Tanya purchased this palomino gelding from us in the end of May 2011. His name is ME BINGO and he is known around the barn as "DOS". We sold Dos right before we got married and bought a ten acre farm. It was very hard to do, Dos was a very special horse to us. He came in with some problems & issues and after many hours, and miles in the saddle we brought Dos back to the top of his game, winning several 1D & 2D checks on him week after week.
Dos was sold within 24 hours of being listed for sale on Barrel Horse World. Mandy shipped him to Pennsylvania to meet his new owners & show them how to ride him. Tanya trail rides Dos most everyday as well as taking him camping on the weekends. She picked right up where Mandy left---- winning!!
Tanya has won the 1D at several IBRA Jackpots as well as winning the Pole Bending events too. She has picked up several checks on him, again and again!
In August Tanya took Dos to the NBHA Super Show- Colonial Nationals in Lexington, Virginia. They ran a pair of 15.9's each day to sit middle of the 2D.
The next weekend they run a 15.9 at an IBRA show to win the 1D.
Its so nice to get text messages on a regular basis with updates on their winnings and how much she loves this horse!
We could not have asked for a better home for our boy Dos! Thank you Tanya & Kevin

"Colby"
2003 APHA Breeding Stock Bay Gelding. Colby came into our barn in the middle of February and was in for sixty days. In to be legged up & conditioned followed by Barrel Training & Campaigning. Colby had a soft mouth and was light in the bridle. We continued to get him softer, bending more, and to really get his hind end tucked while doing dry work. After a few weeks we went to the barrel pattern! While in our barn his owner came and rode him a few times and entered him at a few barrel races. Winning the 4D loping through at Williston, then clocking in the 3D at Ocala Fox Trotters. Colby is ready to go a little faster and build his confidence. Below is a video of Colby & Mandy at the practice pen!
"Socks"
2008 AQHA Sorrel Gelding owned by Murray Smith of Ocala, Florida. Socks came into our barn at then end of March for some schooling while his owner was busy with the Thoroughbred in Training Sales. Rode extensively on the farm, we worked on the basics as well as some neck reining and finishing work. After 30 days of riding we had Socks a lot softer and lighter in your hands, breaking at the poll, and moving off your leg nicely. He will make a nice future pony horse for Murray! Watch for him at the future sales.
"Joe"
2006 AQHA Dun Gelding. Owned by Amber Crocco of Fellsmere, Florida. A three quarter brother to Sabras rodeo horse, Wonders Oro! He had been loping exhibition runs with very limited hauling & exposure. Joe entered our barn on February 14th. Joe was in for sixty days of Barrel Training & Campaigning. We were asked to take Joe to the next level of training. The first thirty days we did a lot of dry work at the farm, as well as hauling Joe to a few jackpots & practice pens. We worked extensively on collecting, body position, and bending! The next thirty days Joe stayed at the farm working more on his basic foundation. Collection, side passing, leg yielding, and a little breezing to add speed to his pattern.
The video below is of Joe clocking a half second off, picking up a 2D check at Windy Acres with Mandy. He was picked up by his owner after that run, finishing up his sixty days of training. The very next day Amber & Joe win the 2D at a Barrel Race!

Still needs to be softer in the mouth, Drifter is ready for his owner to finish breaking.

After being retired from racing, his owners were looking for a new career. Mandy spent about 30 days in the round pen working on collecting and handling. Bear has a great foundation on him and rides like a show horse. He really breaks at the poll and collects himself. Bear had about 45 days on the barrel pattern and was loping through slowly and was hauled to a few local arenas.
Bear went home in January 2010 - Thank you Kelly & Kasey Charles
"Ellie"
2002 Sorrel AQHA mare that came in for a tune up on the barrel pattern in October 2009. Ellie had been to a reining trainer an spent a considerable amount of time in barrel training in KY, but seemed to need some more seasoning & fine tuning, specially with the first barrel. With about 45 days Ellie had a lot of riding to soften her mouth, freshen her head an get a better foundation on the barrels. She was hauled lightly an won a check in the 3D at Williston with a nice little run! Photo by Unique Visions
"Black Jack"

"Bucky"
1989 AQHA Brown Gelding. Purchased as a 14 year old, Buck had been used strictly as a team penning horse, roping, and ranch horse. I continued to pen cattle on him and promptly trained this gelding on the barrels when i retired my main mare, Continetal Belle, to the broodmare pen. Within six months he went from loping the barrels and looking for cattle to running 1D/2D times. I ran him in NBHA shows, AQHA shows, Open jackpots, and APRA Rodeos. We won year end belt buckles, and Buck helped me finish up the NBHA season in 2005 to be the VERMONT YOUTH 1D STATE CHAMPION saddle winner!! After I moved to Florida I sold Buck to my sister.
