2005 CHEROKEE INVASION- 3 Horse Slant, with Large Dressing Room, Drop Down Windows, Escape Door, Full Wall Stud Divider, Double Back Doors with a removable center post to fully open up.
"Ed" - 2007 APHA Palomino Gelding. Currently standing 15.2 hands and will be at least 16 hands when finished. This colt trailers, ties, bathes, lunges, clips and so much more. Ed stands quiet for the vet/blacksmith. This colt has the breeding, size, and athletic ability to take you to the top! He has all the turn/rate with his sires pedigree and with the speed from his dam whom was AAA on the race track, leaving the perfect amount of turn and burn. Ed was started in January with ground and round pen work. Currently he is under saddle developing all the essentials needed to go to any performance arena. Riding quietly at the walk, trot, lope, with a good stop and back. Leg yields, breaks at the poll, side passes and starting to neck rein! A superb athlete that really uses his hind end, and naturally gets underneath himself. This is a quiet colt that is easy to train, he is the nicest colt I have broke this year. Being hauled to shows a few times a month and getting used to all the sights, traffic, and sounds.
PAID IN FULL TO THE FUTURE FORTUNES & TRIPLE CROWN 100 PROGRAMS.
Making him eligible for a lot of extra prize money come December 2010,
the beginning of his futurity year
UPDATE: 7-15 Ed is working cattle great!! For a big colt he has an awesome
handle and is very catty!! Ed has been started on the barrels too.
Currently he is walking/jogging the pattern, and just started loping
up to the barrels and jogging around them. He saw the barrels about ten times this summer and has a super mind and really retains all his training. He will be kicked out to pasture to grow up some and have a break.
UPDATE: 10-18-09 Ed is back in training after having three months of the summer off! He has such a handle on him. Bends, and counterbends great with a super soft feel. You can ride this horse in anything from a shanked bit, snaffle, to a halter and lead rope and he will break at the poll and ride like an older horse. He is the best broke horse in my barn, and is used for everything from ponying horses, opening gates, and has even had a rope thrown off him. Ed will see the pattern for a few more rides this fall and get used on cattle even more!
"Risky" 2003 AQHA Gray Mare. By Dashin Is Easy whom had a Speed Index of 103 and won over $775,000 on the track. He was the 2005 National Leading Sire of Graded Stakes winners, winners, and money earners! Risky is out of a mare, Risk The House, who won over $250,000 and was by the Stakes winning stallion, Prospectors Gamble, who won $650,000. Risky is a gorgeous mare that stands a solid 15.3. She has a nice pattern on her an really likes to turn! Risky was shown locally by her previous owners and is now ready to get tuned up for some bigger shows before getting seasoned for the rodeos.
RACING RESULTS- Risky was just out of the 2D on Friday night at the Canterbury Cash Blast, one of her first big shows! And then she was taken to Williston the following night to clock 2/10's off the winning time. On NOV 6th she went to her FIRST RODEO! She handled everything great and seems like she will be easy to season for the rodeos! NOV 14th she ran at Williston finishing 8th or 9th out of 75 plus riders.
"Black Jack" 2001 AQHA Black Gelding. Stands 14.3 hands. Black Jack is a super nice horse to be around and handle. He is the type of horse to be in your back pocket. He clips, ties, cross ties, bathes, trailers, hauls great, works in a round pen, and gets along well with other horses. A pleasure to ride, Black Jack is great for trail riding, is being started on cattle, and is a finished barrel & pole horse.
This gelding is very easy going! Super quiet, and very willing. Black Jack would be a great High School Rodeo horse. No problems, and no holes in this horse. Easy to get in the gate/alley way then just point and go! He runs 3D/4D and 21's on the poles just being pulled out of the pasture. This gelding is currently being trained and fitted up by Mandy. Look for more updates as he is hauled and campaigned.
THE BEST HIGHLIGHT ABOUT THIS HORSE, IS YOU CAN SEND HIM THROUGH FAST AND THEN SWAP SADDLES AND PUT A KID ON HIM AND HE WILL BABYSIT THEM THROUGH BARRELS & POLES! HE IS A REALLY NICE HORSE.
Running 3D against some nice horses, and still getting
faster. Here is a video of Black Jack on October 2nd at Moss Bluff
Arena last horse on the drag:
