We took names & deposits for a waiting list this spring. December through June we were booked full for outside horses, and it looks like for the summer we are going to have room for more training horses with Mandy back riding. Due to how time consuming breaking colts can be, we are limited on what we take in for colt starting. We strive to produce QUALITY horses not a high QUANTITY.
Please keep in touch for current rates and availability. Take notice of our summer special training rate. Save $75 a month until September.

"BEAUTY" - 4 year old Black Arab/Quarter mare by FIRE
EASY. This mare was broke and recently started on the barrels by her owner, Linda Dennis. She
sent her to us for a tune up before the NBHA State Show. Rex has
gotten her to break at the poll, not brace on the bit, collect, move off body
weight an leg pressure. Then when she was ready he went to the barrels. Update: 6/5~ We are now
working with the owner, getting her ask Beauty to bridle up, use
herself better and getting a smooth fluid pattern. GREAT JOB LINDA! Linda is shown warming up Beauty. Making sure she is soft and bridling up before getting started with the barrels.

He was here for sixty days to be started. THANK YOU KARIN!
Here is a video of Rex riding Dillon. This was his 5th ride!
PRAYERS BEAR- Bear is a 2006 Thoroughbred Gelding. Owned by the Charles' Family. I galloped & breezed Bear in Ocala before he was sent off to the Race Track. After being retired from racing, his owners were looking for a new career. I spent 3 months retraining Bear with about 30 days in the round pen. He has a great foundation on him and rides like a show horse. He really breaks at the poll and collects himself. Bear had about 45 days on the barrel pattern and was loping through slowly and was hauled to a few local arenas.
Here is a clip of Mandy schooling Bear on the barrels. He was sent back to his owners in January, and is getting lessons/schooled with MR Performance Horses.
"Ellie" ~ a 7 year old Sorrel AQHA mare that came in for a tune up on the barrel pattern in October 2009. Ellie had been to a reining trainer an spent a considerable amount of time in barrel training in KY, but seemed to need some more seasoning at fine tuning, specially with the first barrel. With about 45 days Ellie had a lot of riding to soften her mouth, freshen her head an get a better foundation on the barrels. She was hauled lightly an won a check in the 3D at Williston with a nice little run! Thank you Jennifer Bowman Photo by Unique Visions

Royalty Has Arrived- "Buck" 1989 AQHA Brown Gelding. Purchased as a 14 year old,
Buck had been used strictly as a team penning horse, roping, and ranch
horse. I
continued to pen cattle on him and promptly trained this gelding on
the barrels when i retired my main
mare, Continetal Belle, to the broodmare pen. Within six months he
went from loping
the barrels and looking for cattle to running 1D/2D times. I ran him
in NBHA shows, AQHA shows, Open jackpots, and APRA Rodeos. We won year
end belt
buckles, and Buck helped me finish up the NBHA season in 2005 to be the
VERMONT YOUTH 1D STATE CHAMPION
saddle winner!! After I moved to Florida I sold Buck to my sister.
